TOLL BANK ACCOUNT INFORMATION 

Riovia S.A. as the concessionaire of the works, has established a traffic control and toll collection system. The toll collection is carried out on behalf of the Rio de la Plata Administrator Commission (CARP), being Riovia in charge of the administration of the system.

The following map shows the sections corresponding to the Hidrovía.

The base toll rate is US$ 1,65 / NRT.

The base dredging rate is defined as 17,06% of the base toll rate of US$ 1,65. The toll fee for each vessel is obtained by applying the draught correction factor.

The base buoyancy rate is defined as 3,80% of the base toll rate of US$ 1,65.

Toll fee formula

The toll fee to be charged by Riovia S.A. for the use of the channel is calculated with following formula:

Tp = (Tb x TRN) + (Td x TRN x FC) wher :

Tp = toll rate expressed in US dollars
Tb = basic rate for navigation aids expressed in US dollars
Td = basic dredging rate at 32 feet expressed in US dollars
TRN = net register tonnage
FC = correction factor
     
  and  FC = (C-Cr) / Cb where :
     
Cr = reference draught (fixed value) equalling 15 feet
Cb = maximum design draught when the vessel is fully loaded
C = Cr for maximum design draghts equivalent to and below
    15 feet
  = Cb when Cb ranges between 15 feet and 32 feet
  = Cd when Cb is equivalent or above 32 feet
Cd = channel design depth, equalling 32 feet
 
The unit rate values Tb and Td shall be determined by the CARP  
3,80% = percentage value (Navigation Aids)
17,06% = percentage value (Dredging)
 
Tb = U$S 1,65 x 0,0380 (= 0,0627) per TRN
Td = U$S 1,65 x 0,1706 (= 0,28149) per TRN

To obtain the toll fee at Martín García Channels please enter the details of the vessel on the following form. Both net registered tonnage (NRT) and draught maximum in feet (DM) should be entered, using comma for decimals.To convert a draught expresed in metres into feet please divide it by 0,3048. The result is for one trip only, each upstream or downstream passing is taken as 1 trip, therefore if the vessel travels upstream and dowsntream through the Channel 2 trips must be considered.
